The document addresses the NASA SMA functions required for each mission phase from procurement through design, production, launch vehicle integration, spacecraft integration, system test, prelaunch operations, launch operations, post launch activities and mishap investigations. The document is not meant to assign SMA Roles and Responsibilities to a particular organizational unit.
