MIL-STD-647A (NOTICE 2), MILITARY STANDARD: PREPARATION AND USE OF PACKAGING STANDARDS (29 JUL 2004) [S/S MIL-STD-2073/1]., MIL-STD-647A, dated 12 May 1986, is hereby canceled. MIL-STD-2073-1D, "DoD Standard Practice For Military Packaging" was determined to be a suitable replacement. Users are cautioned to evaluate replacements for their particular application.
