MIL-DTL-45225F, DETAIL SPECIFICATION: ALUMINUM ALLOY ARMOR, FORGED (22 APR 1998) [SUPERSEDES MIL-A-45225E]., This specification covers forged aluminum alloy armor, die forgings from 3/4 inch up to and including 3 inches in thickness for type I, class A forgings, and from 3/4 inch up to and including 4 inches for type I, class B forgings. Type II forging thicknesses should be as specified (see 6.2).
