DI-ILSS-81359A, DATA ITEM DESCRIPTION (DID): PARTS LIST (07-MAR-1996) [S/S BY DI-SESS-81359B]., The Part List is required in support of the provisioning process and includes detailed parts information on each separate item of equipment. The required information will be sufficient enough to identify maintenance part support requirements for the field to the Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) level (unless specified otherwise as piece part or box level). This Data Item Description (DID) contains format and content preparation instructions for the Parts List resulting from the work task described in paragraphs 3.2.7 through 3.2.8.4 of DOD-M-86001(NS). This DID is applicable to the acquisition of Non Developmental Item (NDI) i.e.,Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government 0ff-the-Shelf (GOTS) equipment.
