A-A-59004A, COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION: ANTI-GALLING COMPOUND, THREAD LUBRICATING, SEIZING RESISTANT, AND CALCIUM HYDROXIDE CONTAINING (07 SEP 1995)., This description covers a thread lubricant resistant to galling at room temperature, resistant to seizing at elevated temperatures, and having a low coefficient of friction range. The lubricant shall nominally consist of 15-16 weight percent calcium hydroxide, 10-11 weight percent zirconium dioxide, 5-6 weight percent polyisobutylene, 21 weight percent graphite, and mineral oil (balance). The lubricant shall contain less than 10 parts per million (ppm) mercury, and less than 250 ppm of each of the following elements: antimony, bismuth, cadmium, lead, tin, zinc, sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine, bromine, and fluorine.
