A-A-1224, COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION: CLOTH, CHEESECLOTH (WIPING PURPOSES) (18-DEC-1980) [SUPERSEDES DDD-C-301] [S/S BY A-A-1491]., The cloth shall be a plain weave bleached cotton, rayon, or cotton and rayon blend with a minimum width of 20 inches and a maximum width of 50 inches. The cloth shall weigh not less than 0.5 ounce nor more than 2.5 ounces per square yard. The length of the cloth shall be at least 1 yard and not more than 10 yards. Each piece of cloth shall be labeled, ticketed, or invoicedfor fibercontent in accordance with the rules and regulations under the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act.
